We at Lambourne Institute believe that each generation inherits a world quite different from the world in which their parents were raised. The technological and other changes in the 21st century are occurring at an unprecedented speed. Drastic changes in economic and social structures and continued armed conflicts have added to the disintegration of not only the family unit, but also to social and community support systems. This has resulted in a brand new paradigm in the family unit.
Therefore, to succeed, not only financially, but as productive, loving, contributing members of society, our children must be raised with a strong sense of self. Lambourne Institute was founded to aid parents and/or caregivers in empowering children to tap innate talents and develop self-esteem in order to successfully navigate these changes.
Research shows that there are ages and stages at which time the child learns concepts that best serve her/him throughout life. Parents must be aware of these various stages and recognize these as an opportunity to impart critical information and model interpersonal behaviors that will have a lasting effect, not only on the child, but on all with whom the child interacts throughout life.
Lambourne Institute’s mission is to alert parents to these stages and readily provide the key information and interpersonal training at the appropriate stages, through a system that is viable. This system does not require much financing and is easy to implement.
We believe that if our recommended system can be integrated globally, respecting individualized customs and beliefs, our vision would have a profoundly positive impact on individuals, on societies in the U.S. and also globally, resulting in a world living together at peace.
